A great client had unfinished space. We finished the space and added a guest suite, so their family and friends could experience a true retreat when visiting.
He loves hunting and the outdoors, and she loves wildlife and nature. Their property is home to a fox that sneaks into their garden every evening at dusk. The couple love to watch the fox, and so I incorporated him into the space by planning a custom mural in the guest bath. The mural weaves antlers and acorns and wildlife into an otherwise crisp, modern space.

I designed the bath first, then created the bedroom to complement the blue and white palette of the bath. Thibaut wallpaper (Timbuktu) gives a geometric pattern created with the natural element of tobacco leaves.
The oak chest is a French art deco reproduction, with a beveled lip on the surface – a delicate and difficult application in carpentry, which shows the craftsmanship of the manufacturer.

The chair is in a Thibaut print with Thibaut mohair welting. Thibaut fabric and trim on custom roman shades completes the look.

It’s rewarding to create a space that exemplifies the client to their friends. I end up loving my clients, and what I see in them is what I end up designing. And that is such a beautiful thing every time!
