This holiday weekend, I am headed to the mountains to my parents’ place. We call it a farm, but it is really just a large garden- it is nicknamed “Rose Hill.”
My mother spends several months each summer planting, tending, and harvesting beautiful vegetables she then preserves by canning or freezing.
All winter long I enjoy the bounty of her efforts, a pantry filled with lovely jars of homemade soup and healthy sides. My freezer is stocked with the corn, peas, tomatoes, peppers and beans of the summer months, and I know I AM BLESSED.
Everyone has something to give and blessings to share. I don’t have my mother’s green thumb, but I am so thankful to be able to give others the gift of a beautiful home. A space to fill with their own holiday memories and family gatherings.
For my many clients throughout the years, I am truly thankful. Each one of you has blessed me with trust, graciousness, and joy, making every job a labor of love.
From our house to yours, May God bless you on Thanksgiving Day.
